Today’s unexpected late start at work was a major benefit to my dinner prep for tonight and tomorrow.
Really, all I have to do when I get home (late) tonight is let the dough rise and preheat the oven. And tomorrow, on my day off, I just have to cook rather than chop and prep. Feels SO good to be ahead of the game!
Way interesting. Gotta remember to breathe and be thankful throughout the day.

I need it to be fall. Like, right… Now.
Running in heat & humidity sucks. Makes me feel like I’m breathing underwater.
Just a few more days until our vacation to Santa Barbara and wine country!
The weather up there is almost always 10-15 degrees cooler. Looking forward to some cooler runs, some bike rides at the beach, & wine!
1. Keep running. My Nike Running app says I’m up to about 35 miles.
2. Improve running time. I’m shooting to break sub 10 minutes on average. My last good run was just shy, about 10:02.
3. Add some arm work into the mix. SoCal has been SO hot and humid and our apartment is just disgusting in this weather. But there’s no reason I can’t stand in front of the fan and do some tricep extensions.
4. Get under 130. Been SO close for the past 5 months. Up and down and up and down. I think two weeks ago I was about 131.5, but then I either go back up or just hold steady. Not weighing in until Wednesday, so I’ll see then how much work I have ahead of me.**
**It’s not that I’m living by the scale. The me of a few years ago would have put this goal as number one on the list. It’s just that I haven’t seen the 120’s really…every. There was an extremely brief period about eight years ago where I was 125 for like, three months. But I’ve never maintained this weight. This is more of a personal “I can do this” than anything else.
My reward for running yesterday evening, even though I didn’t want to. Brown rice spicy tuna rolls.
My legs are pretty sore today. Last night’s 4.5 miles + new shoes has my knees a little stiff today. May just do some Blogilates abs and arms tonight.
makes me happy when i can reblog this picture
Ran for 3 miles without stopping :-)
